Purpose: Demonstrate the practical orientation of training at the PAS department. The gap between academic education and market demands is a classic problem for many universities. The graduate knows graph theory, but does not know how to configure integration with the payment gateway. To avoid this, a business-oriented design approach has been introduced at the PAS department. Instead of abstract coursework, students implement projects that have real commercial value. An excellent example is the development of platforms in the field of EdTech (educational technologies). Within the framework of laboratory and project sessions, students can design a full-fledged marketplace for the sale of courses. It’s not just about “painting a page.” The team needs: Think about business logic: how the percentage of sales is distributed between the platform and the author of the course. Design a secure relational database to store user data and financial transactions. Write a reliable server API. Ensure the separation of roles (administrator, teacher, student). Working in professional partnerships (often pair programming and division of responsibilities), students immerse themselves in the processes of a real IT company. We evaluate not only the purity of the code, but also how ready the product is to market, whether it meets the needs of a potential customer and whether it can scale in the future.
